There is a website which seeks to help gamblers avoid being scammed by dodgy online casino companies. In an article written on Canadian website PrWeb, players are made aware that there is now a service where they can report online gambling websites which have not paid out their winnings and view a list of casinos they should avoid. The website is called casinoscamreport.com and is particularly aimed at USA and Canadian online gamblers.
The legality of online casino gambling in the USA and Canada is very much a grey area. Online gambling money transactions are more or less illegal in the US but there are ways round it. If a player in the USA wins some money at an online casino then they are usually paid by cheque. However, several players haven’t been paid their winnings due to the restrictions on gambling - and they have no way of complaining to the authorities.
The Casino Scam Report service has been operating its website for five years but has recently been redesigned. The website used to be known as online-casinos-scam-alert.com but, with its re-launch, they decided to change its name.
Gamblers who have genuine complaints of being scammed by online casinos can post messages on the site’s forum. The Casino Scam Report staff will then contact the online gaming firm to inform them that they have had a complaint and try to investigate further. The service, as well as exposing the fraudulent internet fraudsters has also helped players get their winnings after all.
Players can also view a list of websites which have been blacklisted and who Casino Scam Report recommend should be avoided. There is also a list of safe online casinos.
As a general rule, online casino players should stick to gambling at a well known or approved website with a good reputation.
