As the online gambling sector world wide becomes more competitive by the day innovative ways of getting players to stop on a given site are being thought up in stuffy offices from London to Hong Kong!
How can we tug at the heart strings? Capture the imagination? Get a leg up on our competitors?
Well, one site (which we won’t mention) decided to place a love story on its home page in the hope of making players choose their site. The tale itself seems based in imagination rather than fact. Here is an edited extract:
“ One day I was minding my own business gambling on the online casino. It was going fairly well, but then, doesn't it always? So, anyway, I was playing blackjack alternating with Keno and then suddenly I saw a flashing message on my monitor. When I came to answer it, I saw that it was from BABE24. I had never seen her there before, but I was always ready for any excitement.
We started chatting, and I asked her what brought a classy girl like her to the miserable gin-joint of the online casino?
She said that she liked it fine, since she was a home town girl, and she didn't mind the surroundings. I asked her which of the games she preffered, she said that she like all the regulars, blackjack, keno, craps, poker and slots.
I laughed at that, and we were really hitting it off. When I mentioned to her the big prize I had won during the eighties, that really set her off, and she decided she wants to meet me. We set up a meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel, for brunch.
I got there, all sweaty and nervous. I didn't know how to act, or what to say or even how to begin. And then came this blond bombshell and I gasped. I didn't think such awesome girls ever came to the on line casino. But there she was, as large as life, and her name was Candy. Candy and I really hit it off, and then next thing I knew we found ourselves in her hotel room, playing our shorts off in the on line casino...”
How fortunate for the writer that the lady lived in the same city, was a blonde bombshell and liked every single game the online site had to offer! All in all the effort is pitiful but sadly as online sites bid to outgun each other they’ll try just about anything.
