A new website has been launched for the Nuts Poker League. It is being run by Inside Gaming on the Playtech platform and iPoker network.
The Nuts Poker League has joined the biggest online poker network, offering in excess of £8 million in prize money each month and attracting over 75,000 players from across the globe everyday.
Players will be given the choice of playing in a variety of tournaments hosted by the network, with Nuts members only being invited to take part in nightly “Lock In” tournaments which have been designed to recreate the community atmosphere captured by the landbased events in pubs all over the country where Nuts has specialised.
The Nuts Poker League’s Managing Director, Steve Bellis appeared last year on television in Dragon’s Den. On the show Bellis had the support of two of the five Dragons to fund his poker league project. Bellis accepted the offer at first but eventually decided to go for other opportunities. Since the programme, Steve Bellis has grown his business into the biggest pub poker league in the country attracting over 19,000 members.
On any given night, more than 600 poker players compete in one of the pubs that have signed up to the league throughout the country.
With the launch of the website, Nuts players from across the UK will be able to compete against each other, such as in the nightly Lock In tournaments from their own homes.
Speaking about the launch of The Nuts Poker League online, Steve Bellis said, “I have always believed and understood the value of The Nuts Poker League and although I can respect the expertise and contacts each Dragon could bring to the table, when it came to the crunch, the Dragons wanted too much.
“We have been looking to combine the pub poker league with an online offering for a while – but it was important that we took our time to find the right partner. Inside Gaming has grasped a true understanding of our business and has the flexibility to create bespoke tournaments to suit our players and allow us to continue creating the community environment that we’ve worked hard to establish.”
