He’s played a host of roles over the years where his character has to evade the police, the gangsters and the press but it seems in real life Leonardo Di Caprio finds it impossible to dodge the public.
Despite not doing much gambling over the years the Hollywood star and multi millionaire was busted on a recent trip to a casino in Morocco.
Staying at Marrakech's Es Saadi Gardens and Resort, the actor decided to chance his hand at the hotel's casino, but seemed to want to avoid the attention of fans.
A source told the Daily Express that Leo attempted to hide his identity and would have got away with it too, if it hadn't been for a pesky kid.
One casino-goer told the newspaper: "His face was hidden under a large baseball cap and nobody seemed to realise it was him. He only got rumbled when a little boy recognised him."
It seems that while the 33-year-old had not bet on the little boy, neither was he in the mood to gamble his Hollywood fortune and only kept his bets to a minimum.
Di Caprio is thought to be worth in excess of $100million, the majority of it earned after he stared as Jack Dawson in the world’s highest grossing movie of all time –Titanic.
The source revealed: "People obviously expected a Hollywood superstar to be laying down some big bets but it turned out he wasn't much of a gambler. He didn't seem to pay out much at all."
Di Caprio was in town for the Marrakech Film Festival where director Martin Scorsese presented him with the Golden Star Award for his film work which included leading roles in blockbusters such as What’s eating Gilbert Grape, Romeo and Juliet, The man in the Iron mask, The Beach, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Blood Diamond and the Departed.
