The most well known fox on TV - Foxy (icon of Foxybingo.com) was celebrating last night after the online bingo provider picked up two prestigious accolades at the Bullet business awards held in London.
Named bingo operator of the year the Cashcade Ltd. owned site beat off the challenge of online bingo giants such as the Sun Bingo, Gala bingo, Jackpot bingo and Ladbrokes bingo.
And there was more cause for celebration for Foxybingo when the provider was rewarded for having the best marketing campaign for 2008.
Now arguably the most well recognised online bingo site in the UK thanks to the suave and charismatic Foxy those behind the scenes at Cashcade have cracked the marketing challenge – getting their brand recognised instantly.
While the marketing campaign combined many strands the stand out ace in the deck came last January when an add set to the background music of the Sister Sledge classic ‘We are family’ hit our screens.
Aired on terrestrial channels at peak times the advert showed Foxy strutting his stuff through the streets of an English town with scores of ladies dropping what they are doing to follow him in a ‘pied piper of hamelin’ fashion!
The contingent led by band leader Foxy sing the lyrics “We are family, come play Foxybingo for free”.
The award winning site also sponsors the Jeremy Kyle show on ITV, a move which undoubtedly sees them reaching their target player audience.
Speaking at the time Patrick Southon, Managing Director at Cashcade said of the deal “The Jeremy Kyle show appears to be a perfect fit with our audience. Our research shows that 78 per cent of our audience will see our sponsorship over a 6 month period. Such an opportunity is too good to pass up.”
This attention to market research detail was behind last night’s award. But there’s much more to Foxybingo’s marketing campaign than just these ads and sponsorship deals. The excellently designed interactive Foxybingo website encourages players to not only partake in the game itself but also interact with other players.
