I am disgusted to read another major UK bank is planning to rip off customers by charging them extra fee’s to play and deposit on gaming sites. What’s next will they start charging customers more money to have some fish and chips on the high street – its just one more example of rip off Britain. The banks are blatantly profiteering at the expense of their customers - given the bumper profits they all reported last year you would have thought they would be ashamed of themselves. I bet they all have departments dedicated to working out how to scam their users out of a little more of their hard earned cash. This recent report on HSBC should run with the headline “Project Scrooge” brought to you by HSBC.
Cashcade will look through all the payment processing options to try and help our customers deal with these issues but quick advice can be found below:
- Netteller can be used which is an online wallet service I am guessing the banks have not decided to start charging for transfers into e-wallets as yet. It would not surprise me if they do start charging so they can try taxing the use of services like Pay Pal and eBay just like they are trying to do with online gaming services.
- Send complaints into your bank and start sending them bank charges
- Try changing your bank to another that does not impose these ridiculous charges
In the meantime you can read how to reclaim your bank charges.
