The online gaming scene in the U.K received a huge boost today with the news that one of the leading internet gambling sites operating on these shores announced huge profits for the year 2006.

It was only a matter of time before someone came up with the concept. This week plans for Britain’s first ‘racino’ have been released for the Berkshire town of Reading.

So the Government is getting a lashing over its plans to build Britain’s first super casino in Manchester and perhaps rightly so. Opponents say Blackpool is a more favourable destination but the issue is being used more as a political football than anything else.
