Back to Black-Jack Weekend Tournament
By Clive Twyman
Published on 21 February 2008

This weekend Getminted.com is running a special promotion.  Calling all Blackjack fans wherever you are, the popular online gaming site is running the ‘Back to Black-Jack Weekend’ Tournament on 23rd and 24th February where one player can win £1,000.

Players can choose to play any one of 9 different blackjack games offered by Getminted.com in this tournament, so there should be enough of a choice to keep blackjack fans happy.  The games are; Double Attack Blackjack, Table Blackjack, European Blackjack, Multi Hand Blackjack Players Suite, Power Blackjack, Hot Streak Bonus Blackjack, 21+3 Blackjack, Top Hat 21 and Multi-Hand Blackjack with side bet.

Double Attack Blackjack is Getminted.com’s newly-released Blackjack game and it has tons of fantastic features.

The best Blackjack player from any of the games this weekend will earn a £1,000 Bonus.  The second best player will earn the runners-up prize of £300 and the third place player will receive £200.

To qualify for the prize you do however, have to place 20 bets which come to the turnover value of £50 on at least one blackjack game.  The player with the best payout ratio will receive £1,000.

Steuart Millar, Getminted’s Casino Manager said, “Few casinos have the abundance of Blackjack games we have and our 9 games all vary in style so this should make for an interesting competition.  Remember; it doesn’t matter how much you win, it’s also about how much you wagered – which is why our payout ratio system is the fairest way of deducing a winner.”

“Payout Ratio is a system we use to choose our tournament winner. For example; if you turnover £50 worth of bets on Table Blackjack and finish with a net win of £100, you would have a payout ratio of 300% (when you break even its 100%). However, if you win £2,000 yet have bet £1,800 to achieve it, you would have a lesser payout ratio of 190%. As you can see, it is the fairest system because it is related to what a player stakes and doesn’t just reward players that have won the highest amount of money.

“So for the mathematicians out there, the formula goes like this: Payout Ratio = (amount wagered ÷ net win) x 100 + 100.”

The Back to Black-Jack Weekend Tournament is just one of many regular tournaments offered by Getminted.com.  They have recently run a Head of The Tables Tournament which ran in the same format as Back to Black-Jack only you could choose to play on any table game you wished.  The site has also just run Wheel of Fortune Wednesday.  Be sure to visit www.getminted.com/promotions/comps-tournaments.cc for news on the latest tournaments and promotions offered by Getminted.com.
