Bookmakers offer odds on a range of different betting markets and perhaps bizarrely Paddy Power are offering odds on who will be the next shirt sponsors of Manchester United in their novelty bets section, which should interest Manchester United fans.
Current sponsors, AIG the insurance firm, have said they won’t be sponsoring the Red Devils next season because of the global economic recession.
The current favourites are NBTY, the vitamins manufacturer at 9/4*. Indian firm, Sahara whose services include financial services and real estate are the second favourites at 7/2*.
Also in the running are Tata and Saudi Telecom both at 8/1*. Another telecommunications firm, this time China Telecom are priced at 10/1* to sponsor the top Premiership club.
Hutchison, Lenovo and Grupo Santander are all priced at 12/1*.
Some airlines are also in the running according to Paddy Power with Air Asia and Air Malaysia both at 14/1* and Air India at 16/1*.
Some big major multinational brands could also sponsor United next season as Paddy Power have Pepsi at 16/1* and McDonalds at 18/1*.
The Internet search engines Google and Yahoo are both a 20/1* shot.
The Abu Dhabi Group who own Manchester rivals Manchester City are given a price of 33/1*
Honda who have stopped production at their UK plant for four months are also priced at 33/1*.
The outside bets are Tilda Rice at 40/1*, Al Jazeera at 100/1* and the Bombay Bicycle Club at 500/1*.
