The National Lottery’s Rich For Life scratchcard has been relaunched and on sale now for two weeks.  The scratchcard costs £5 and gives 4 lucky players the chance to win £40,000 every year for the rest of their life.

The relaunch of the scratchcard is being promoted by a television advert which will be seen on TV screens until the end of February which shows an airline passenger sitting in an uncomfortable economy class seat with two other passengers beside him.  It then shows him after winning the Rich For Life scrtachcard sitting in luxury in first class being served champagne and lobsters from two air hostesses.

At the relaunch of the Rich For Life scratchcard, Richard Bateson of Camelot said, “We always see a fantastic response from players in-store to regular payment games.
“The previous version of Rich For Life was our best and fastest selling £5 game ever – and we expect this new version to be just as popular.”

“The TV campaign, together with the full programme of marketing support, will make sure the game receives maximum exposure among players.”

The scratchcard contains 3 games.  In the first game, there are two weights which you reveal side by side, the weight to the left is your number and the weight to the right is the game’s number.  If your weight is higher than the game’s then you win a prize.  In the second game you must match two numbers in the same row to win a prize.  In the third game you have to match either of the two winning symbols to your symbol to win a prize.  To win £40,000 a year for the rest of your life you need to win any of these games and scratch off PRIZE to reveal the rich symbol.

There are also one-off prize amounts of £5, £10, £15, £20, £40, £80, £200, £1,000, £10,000 and £100,000 which can be won with this scratchcard.  If you get the top prize of £40,000 a year you will receive £40,000 after validation of your winning scratch card straight away and then be paid the same amount every 12 months..

Camelot have stated that the chances of winning a prize amount with the Rich For Life scratchcard is 1 in 3.89.
