Manchester United player Jonny Evans has been accused of raping a woman after a Casino themed Christmas Party.
As reported on onlinecasinopress.co.uk on December 5th the players paid £4,000 each to partake in the evening organised by England central defender and well known gambler Rio Ferdinand.
Player’s wives and partners were not allowed to attend the bash and according to tabloids 100 of Manchester’s most glamorous ladies were recruited to keep the football stars entertained while they gambled the night away.
The majority of the team (with the notable exception of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo) also hired out a hotel to which they returned after spending the evening at the 235 Casino.
It was at this venue on Great John Street where the alleged rape of the 26 year old woman took place.
Evans was released on bail yesterday but is being quizzed by officers today.
The alleged victim who is also being interviewed today is said to have dialled 999 from a hotel where united players including Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand took part in a late night drinking session.
One female guest described the party as "a horrendous cattle market"
She said "I like the united players but they were out of control. They were treating girls like pieces of meat.
"We got special invites but if we ever get asked again there's no way we would go again."
Another said: "A lot of the players were really letting their hair down. Waitresses were handing out pink champagne to whoever wanted it.
"The players seemed to be drinking beer, vodka and whisky. Lots of drink was flowing and there were a lot of the girls there simply trying to bag a footballer for the night. It was all very sleazy."
Jonny Evans is a Northern Ireland International aged just 19. He shone while on loan to Sunderland last season and is very highly rated by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
