Mad Vinnie produces some light relief with offer to Lotto winner

We’ve all had it up to our eyes with the economy in recent weeks but thankfully we can always rely on Vinnie Jones to take our minds of the more gloomy aspects of life.
The former Wimbledon football star and successful actor wants to fight Lotto winner Mikey Carroll after learning that he has been tipped as a future screen villain and the "next Vinnie Jones".??Producers of the movie Jack Said told said that the former bin man had a future similar to that of the Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels star.
A national hate figure, Carroll won over £9 million on the National Lottery in 2002. However the former part-time rubbish collector disposed of £8m in under four years on crack, fast cars, women and drink . The criminal record he began to acquire in poverty - for several dozen offences including joyriding, theft and criminal damage - was extended in wealth and those who oppose gambling cite him as an example why sometimes big losers become big winners. ??Jones, who was capped eight times for Wales, apparently said: "Get that Carroll geezer to fight me, bare fist, for his last £500,000 - winner takes all. Let’s get rid of this moron once and for all.??"He keeps my £500,000 if he wins. But if I win the half million goes to Harefield Hospital and a charity for injured soldiers. I’ll put up my own money against this mug."?
Now living in Los Angeles Jones has a recent history of taking the law into his own hands. In December 2003 he was convicted of air rage offences committed on a flight the previous May and in 1998 he was convicted of assaulting a neighbour.
