Jewel Quest III is the latest game to be launched on the iWin website.
To go with the release, iWin are running a promotion for six weeks called the Jewel Quest III sweepstakes. Prizes of real jewels including diamond, ruby, emerald and sapphire necklaces will be given out weekly. To enter this sweepstake you need to download the 60 minute free trial of Jewel Quest III and enter your email address upon opening the game. The sweepstake started on 6th June and runs until 17th July 2008.
The game’s plot is that Rupert and Emma must go in search of an antidote to cure their daughter, Natalie’s blindness. The antidote is held in the Golden Jewel Board and the game revolves around a global hunt to find the board.
The Match-3 game mechanic used in the previous Jewel Quest games is improved upon in the third outing of the series. The puzzle game features updated graphics, a tactile global theme and brand new jewels. Players are awarded jewels by completing puzzles in each continent. Discovering hidden goals unleash new power-ups and open up more exotic lands.
Peter Traugot, Jewel Quest III’s Senior Producer said, “Who says you can’t outdo the original, or the sequel? In Jewel Quest III, players now have the opportunity to travel all over the globe in a completely random manor and discover a bounty of new and exciting jewels and play mechanics.”
Jim Stern, the Vice President of Product Development, added, “Jewel Quest players will be surprised by how we have managed to add so many twists and turns into the gameplay while maintaining the classic mechanic which made Jewel Quest one of the most popular games in history. With rare jewels that melt impenetrable ice blocks to nefarious beetles that require more complex matches, Jewel Quest III holds no end of surprise and delight!”
In the game, players are given the chance to create some boards, as white pearls create extra spaces on the board while with others it is necessary for the player to capture wild monkeys in order to complete the board properly. The more the player gets into the game, the more new jewels, exciting challenges and goals they will discover.
