Breast cancer survivor scoops lotto jackpot

Essex mum Tracy Foster has had a tough battle fighting breast cancer. After undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy and two operations thankfully the cancer is now in remission. Her reversal of bad fortune has been made complete by scooping £2.5 million on the national lottery in the midweek draw on 30th July.
She told The Sun newspaper, “Being diagnosed with cancer was quite a shock in itself but that’s not as hard as dealing with the treatment.”
“I wouldn’t wish chemotherapy on anyone – it’s horrendous. The last year has probably been the worst of my life but this year could be my best.”
“I always said every cloud has a silver lining and that something good comes out of something bad. This proves it.”
The 40 year-old mother from Benfleet in Essex lives in a semi-detached house with her two sons and pet dog. She works as a self-employed catalogue distributor. She revealed to The Sun she is now looking to buy a new house with “four or five bedrooms.”
Her sons 20 year-old Ross and 16 year-old Ryan are pleased for their mum and believe she is very deserving of her lottery win.
Of course, they will benefit from their mother’s win but so far the family dog, Lucy is the only member of the family to be treated. Mrs Foster bought the golden retriever four boxes of dog treats and a tin of dog food costing £12 from her local supermarket.
She also plans to spend the cash on a brand new car and a luxury holiday to New York around Christmas time. She has said though she has no plans to quit her job as she really enjoys it.
Mrs Foster played the main lottery draw on Wednesday 30th July using her regular numbers 4, 26, 28, 32, 44 and 46. She won exactly £2,561,513.
